Wildflower Cafe

There are some gems in Redondo Beach when it comes to the brunch game and Wildflower Cafe is a nice little spot to hit up when you want delicious omelets, scrambles and massive pancakes! The ambiance is nice and cute for a Saturday or Sunday morning, with the option to sit outside on their spacious patio in the sunshine or inside when the marine layer feels like being stupid and sticking around passed 11am.

We beat the "church rush" and got seated within 20 minutes of parking. After considering a couple of items on the menu - like the  veggie scramble, oatmeal made to order, the lox platter, and all of the pancakes. I settled on the New York scramble, which was egg scramble with smoked salmon, tomato, onion, and a dollop of cream cheese, and one massive chocolate chip pancake. Amy also went the smoked salmon route and got the eggs benedict, swapping the canadian bacon (read: ham!!) for smoked salmon as well.

Take a look for yourself, just don't lick your screen!

All in all - a great brunch spot. You can order even order champagne, mimosas, wine or beer so if the hair of the dog is what you're looking for. And it's reasonably priced brunch with a reasonable wait time on a weekend. Me gusta!

Cheers,

Kate
