Galaxy game with a side of history!

The Home Depot Center

Amy and I purchased a LivingSocial deal for center field Los Angeles Galaxy tickets and we not only got an excellent deal but the Galaxy won and a very significant moment in US professional sports happened as well. It was all very exciting.

By halftime, the Galaxy was already up 4-0. Robbie Keane had a hat trick, two of them from penalty kicks, and then, in the 71st minute, the Galaxy subbed in Robbie Rogers - the first openly gay athlete to actively play. The best part? The stadium erupted with clapping and cheers. It was quite amazing to see such an amazing response from the fans. Amy and I of course, were going nuts in the stands. Go Robbie!

Robbie Rogers! History in the making.
The game ended 4-0. The Galaxy won and history was made! Afterwards there was a fireworks celebration and we viewed from the parking lot.

Victory fireworks!
The Los Angeles Galaxy games are such a fun vibe. The fans are great and energetic throughout the entire game, the team played really well, and I ate enough roasted peanuts that I almost morphed into a circus elephant.  Can't wait to hit up more games this season... now if only David Beckham still played!

Cheers,

Kate
